Common Sense Solutions for El Cajon

Parkway Plaza Redevelopment:

It’s time to get serious about Parkway Plaza. Our city can’t afford to let Parkway Plaza to fall any further, by creating new housing options that allow for first-time homebuyers to feel real pride of ownership and using the same strategies La Mesa used with Grossmont Center, we can make Parkway Plaza a place residents feel comfortable and safe visiting, and make it a place that businesses want to open in.

Revitalizing Downtown

For too long downtown El Cajon has been viewed as a place to avoid, not enjoy. By working with restaurant owners, residents, and local law enforcement I plan to clean up homelessness in Downtown, improve city services, and revitalize downtown into a destination families can go for dinner, entertainment, and shopping.

Public Safety

With over 30 years of law enforcement experience, working in the most dangerous parts of San Diego, I’ve seen first-hand what happens when cities ignore public safety. As the only candidate endorsed by the San Diego County Deputy Sheriff’s Association, El Cajon Police Officers’ Association, and the Police Officers Research Association (PORAC), I am the only candidate with a proven track record, and the trust of our local law enforcement to make El Cajon a safe place to live, visit, and enjoy.

Infrastructure

I plan to provide quality roads, with improved traffic management. As El Cajon has grown, our roads and maintenance have not matched the pace, I plan to work with the city manager, and fellow council members to fast-track infrastructure improvements to improve vehicle and pedestrian safety, fixing potholes, and hold public transportation accountable to long overdue safety standards so residents have more viable options of commuting.
